When Jesus was on this earth, he was a carpenter by trade. Carpenters have many tools in their toolbox. At the First Church of the Open Bible, we desire to keep you and your family engaged in growing your personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing tools for your spiritual toolbox. Tools are designed for different purposes and the resources provided here are intended to partner with you for deeper opportunities for discipleship. To that end, individual, group, and family resources are posted here. Additional content areas will be added and will be updated regularly. Feel free to use them and share with others.
Prayer Corner
The First Church of the Open Bible believes firmly in prayer as the foundation. The Word of God says in Isaiah 56:7, For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.
Each year, our church community led by our dynamic Prayer Ministry focuses on corporate prayer and fasting. This year the 14 Days of Prayer and Fasting provided an incredible opportunity for confession, repentance, turning, forgiveness, and healing.
As monthly prayer themes are developed for church wide prayer sessions, you will find the resource guide here. We encourage you to attend the First Friday Prayer Meeting at 7:30PM every first Friday of the month. You can also join us for any of the Prayer Gatherings.
Kingdom Kidz and EQUIP
(Children and Youth Ministry)
Kingdom Kidz is the Children’s Ministry of the First Church of the Open Bible focusing on youth up to the 6th grade. Kingdom Kidz services operates simultaneously as our Sunday Worship at 10AM every Sunday. EQUIP focuses on middle and high school youth and is primarily facilitated through weekly youth fellowship sessions.
Our goal is to fulfill our mission, to Know Christ and to make Him Known, through our children, teens and families. Our objective is to partner with parents to make disciples for Christ. We believe that our youth are a chosen generation and are equipped to be the next leaders in our church and community.
Here you will find videos sharing the themes for Kingdom Kidz for both pre-school and elementary, and a link to download the Parent Cue app to follow the lessons online and other information as well as the weekly devotions for teens that supports them in their Everyday Faith. There is also monthly themed family devotion guide. We believe these resources will help you and your family build a stronger foundation.
